Better chuck than my old 6213D.Seems like something is wrong when it costs almost the same for two batteries or buying this drill kit. Does what it is supposed to and fits my ham fists well. I bought this mostly for the batteries as I already have multiple Makita drills/ batteries/ chargers. It works.
I anticipate after a couple charge / discharge cycles that it will fall in line with my other one.In the event that my second battery does not pull through (my fault - complete lack of use) - I may even buy another one of these sets instead of 2 batteries. I appreciate that the drill can sit in on the shelf of my workbench for weeks on end and still work when I pull the drill out of the case. One battery has never been used at all - it showed when I needed it on a job (poor runtime). I've had this drill for 2.5 years now. This drill has been good to me. I was originally considering the bigger brother of this tool, the 6337DWDE - I chose the 12V variety b/c the torque numbers were very close to each other. I am NOT a construction or tradesman - I'm a DIY homeowner who appreciates a quality tool. The batteries on this drill have held up very well.
We are pleased with the suggestion made here. We read the reviews when looking for a replacement battery for our Makita drill- getting two batteries AND a new drill was a much better deal. This drill is more powerful than our original.
"Makita 6213DWBLE 3/8-Inch 12 Volt Drill/Driver Kit with Flashlight" was found for much less including shipping. Can't understand why same item is offered with a free flashlight through Amazon including shipping for almost $19.00 less.
shirley - nebraska This Makita is great because it holds it's charge forever, and if the battery does go down it only takes an hour to charge it. This was the best purchase I have made in a long, long time. I have had two other brands of cordless drills in the past, and they were never ready to go when I needed them for my crafting or light household projects.
